Planting Annual and Perennial Plants

I keep hearing my neighbor talking about planting annual and perennial plants. Since the weather in Florida is so humid, what do you recommend planting with low maintenance and is mostly a year around plant. Something that I won’t have to keep up with and replant every year and adds color?

There are a few varieties of Jasmin Minima that are a great, low maintenance ground cover. I also really like to use Nandina Firepower, Mammy Crotons, Bulbine or Society Garlic to add color year around with very little maintenance required. – John Madison with John Madison Landscape.  For more information about Landscape or Landscaping ideas contact our Orlando area Expert at www.johnmadisonlandscape.com
